Why did we choose robots?:

Q: What represents NFTs and family the best?

A: Something that is the future technology and forever: Robots

Concept development reveal 1 and 2 out of 7:

This was the first rough conceptualization of Robot Avatar I have done:
However it lacked facial identification and traits.
Followed up with the second concept:

While it had more traits, as you can see on the right profile pic example… it was not a good social avatar. It was simply too noisy.

The background and many features were difficult to read.
Also Note: Avatars facing left, data-wise have done worse than facing right. – because of it not fitting in many social platform looks.

Third Concept:

REMOVED the noisy background and blurry details. And made it right facing due to market performance over left. UPGRADE:

While this was a major upgrade as a profile picture avatar, facial structure was rather unrecognizable.
A core value of social avatars. More room for face structures and other modifiable body-traits were needed.

lacked facial structure and face was unrecognizable

Fourth Concept:

ADDED a contrasting screen with a human-like digital face. ENLARGED the face area to show the facial trait better on a profile picture.

While we made an upgrade towards making a truly recognizable social avatar- alot of the details were not showing and the face still looked like a blur.

Which is a big problem with detailed avatars.
They look good close up- but they do not serve the purpose as an identifiable profile pic, which then will lose its place as a social avatar.
Which would mean long term- depreciating investment.

Concept 4 was too tall, looked cramped as a profile pic. Face read like a blur due to the glare.

Fifth Concept:

REMOVED more facial glare/lighting for more recognizability.
-ZOOMED in more around the face, cutting off the bottom ~10%.
-EXPERIMENTED with lighting and inner pieces to see what best shows on the pfp.
What we learned: Inner details did not show and was just dirty no matter the shading or contrast, rather it did not add value to the overall character.
Although we zoomed in on the face it was not enough. The bump that represents the mouth was pure noise.

Concept 5 still lacked facial recognition and had many meaningless details.

Sixth Concept:

COMPLETE redo of inner robotic gears. Sleeker & Cleaner. – REMOVED mouth piece for pure focus on the screen/face. – ENLARGED assets: Head & Accessories.

Due to the facing angle the left eye (of Robo Sib’s POV) clashed with the lighting effects.
There was still a lot of room for increasing asset visibility.

Concept 6 still had room for more visibility and clarity.

Seventh Concept:

TURNED & ZOOMED in on the facing angle for more visible face & effects. ADJUSTED inner details and assets according to the turn.
We have achieved amazing visibility and clarity of the main traits! Social avatar doing exactly what it was intended for: being a WELL DESIGNED profile pic avatar.

:)) we are THRILLEDDDD about the final concept!!!!! Thank you for joining us in this wonderful creative process.
